Hi, I'm Emelyn Chavez
I'm a wedding photographer based in Arkansas. I grew up in Siloam Springs, a sweet lil town in the south. I began my business as a sophomore in high school at the age of 15, and I felt like it was a gift to serve God's kingdom through the relationships I was creating with His children. Since then, I haven't put my camera down.
THIS JOB IS SUCH A GIFT. TO BE ABLE TO DOCUMENT INCREDIBLE LOVE STORIES DAILY IS JUST BEYOND INDESCRIBABLE. TO DOCUMENT THE IN-BETWEEN MOMENTS, THE STILL MOMENTS, ALL THE HUGS, SMOOCHES, & TEARS I SEE. TO ALLOW A WEDDING DAY TO UNFOLD IN THE MOST UNPERFECT WAY (WHICH IS WHAT I BELIEVE TO BE PERFECT), POUR MY WHOLE HEART INTO COUPLES, TO CRY AT EVERY WEDDING CEREMONY. TO WITNESS THE MOST INTIMATE MOMENTS THAT JUST ALMOST FEEL WRONG TO BE APART OF- BUT THAT'S MY JOB. HOW BEAUTIFUL IS THAT?

Since the moment I shot my first wedding at 16, it set my heart on fire like nothing else. If you were to ask me what my favorite thing about being a wedding photographer, I'd have to say the opportunity to form deep, intentional, and personal relationships with my couples. This is why, I pride myself in ensuring you become not just a professional relationship to me, but a personal one. I like to think of myself as someone with a sensitive heart, because I love so big, & it's truly my favorite thing about myself. I will forever & always go the extra mile on your wedding day, buy you & your fiancée a coffee so we can get to know each other before we begin our time together, and be your #1 fan.
While the wedding industry has my heart and soul, I am a science enthusiast. As a future food scientist (EEEEK!), I love getting the opportunity to have both a creative outlet, and a blend of curiosity, logistics, & innovation in my life.
When I'm not shooting weddings, you'll find me taking a slow morning to read as I sip on a homemade latte, running or cycling, spending time at coffee shops, exploring all the cool things NWA has to offer, trying new foods, traveling, or spending time with the people I love- because they're my support system, my everything. Community in Fayetteville is rich, beyond BEAUTIFUL and I feel so honored to live in such a beautiful city.
As the daughter of immigrants, I watched my parents sacrifice their whole lives for my siblings and I to have the life we have now, and as entrepreuners themselves, they are my inspiration and motivation. I could of never created this business of mine without their guidance, support, and example. Everything I accomplish, is for them, forever & always!
And most importantly, I'm desperately in love with the Lord. The Lord gifted me the vision for this business at a young age, and everything I do is to honor Him, & His precious children. My greatest desire in life is to love the way Jesus loves his children, and I am honored this is one of my vessels to fulfill that. All the glory is to Him & Him alone!
